AMP SQUIB Connectors are developed for connections with the inflator. Two types are available: one is for air bags and the other is for pretension seat belts.

Air Bag Type

Features

• Ferrite is incorporated to prevent noise
• The socket contacts are protected by a ferule (other component of cylindrical shape).
• The fix-in mechanism makes it unmateable once mated.

Pretension seat belt type

Features

• Ferrite is incorporated to prevent noise
• A shorting contact for prevention of any unintentional explosion is incorporated in the retainer assembly.
• Socket contacts are commonly used with the air bag type.
